Our New Barn

Our farm is one of the oldest farms in the area. Unfortunately it can't been said that it was family property for just as long as my great-grandfather won it as a bet only a hundred years ago. But still, a hundred years! It is still amazing.

The neighboring families have long ceased to deem us suspicious when they realized not all of us liked to place bets on our future! Time has flown by nevertheless and two years ago I inherited the farm when my parents passed away. A year has passed, the initial shock waned and I could finally concentrate on my farm. It was very difficult at the beginning to look and see everything so out of hand especially since my parents had been so keen on keeping things in order. The farm was eagerly waiting for working hands.

I was put under serious stress when tragedy almost struck. There was a fire one night and as I was awaken by the horses neighing in fear and the hot, loudly crackling fire. It was almost too late but we finally managed to get the animals out of the building on fire. Although the firefighters arrived on time to put out the fire the old barn was destroyed.

I realized that the first thing I should to do was to get a new barn constructed. From the farm definitely needed an agricultural building, the horses needed it and I had to store straw, hay, fertilizers and vehicles and equipment somewhere in the future but I would definitely need something fire proof. The experience scared me so profoundly that when the other day I visited my neighbor's and entered his traditional barn I started to feel nauseated and felt I had to get out fast.

There were extreme weather conditions that had to be taken into consideration and the barn had to endure heavy loads of snow, too. I wanted to make an economical choice but still with care for my horses safety. So when I heard about metal barns from the farm I knew it right away that they were the answer! Steel barns are strong and flexible, they provide good ventilation when the weather is warm but can also be insulated against the cold.

Even if now I did not need a large clear space for the stalls and forage for horses extensions can be later added quickly as I learned and the steel barn can be especially designed to fit my individual needs. It is also easy to erect and you can purchase your metal barn with prefab parts.
Pre-fabricated metal buildings from the farm are just as economical as a pole barn building but with much more usable space. Why build with light gauge pole barns when you can construct a heavy duty I-beam steel building? Your agricultural steel barn can be customized for use as a metal riding arena, steel shed, metal storage building or anything you could imagine. Metal buildings can be designed to keep operating costs down with natural lighting. Insulation packages are great for keeping the cold out in the winter and keeping cool in the summer saving you money. Agricultural steel barns are an exceptional value that will last for many, many years.
